I had the pleasure of meeting Señora Silvia in the beautiful region of Chiapas, Mexico.

Together with her mother and sisters, these skilled women are experts in the art of embroidering vibrant "pompons," which are used as decorative elements for various occasions.

Crafting a pompom can be a day-long task.

Silvia embroiders her 'Pompones,' as they are known in Spanish, with an abundance of love and an unwavering attention to detail. When she shared her craft with me, I witnessed her passion firsthand. This makes her last name, "Corazones," meaning "hearts" in English, all the more fitting.

Weaving and embroidery both hold deep cultural significance for indigenous Mexican women in Chiapas.
